The U.S. Department of Homeland Security today announced awards for the Fiscal Year 2006 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Round 16, awarding 391 grants to fire departments throughout the United States. Round 16 will distribute more than $34.5 million.
The City of Oshkosh Fire Department was awarded a grant in round 16 for operations and safety, totaling $131,123.00

October 14th The Oshkosh Fire Department will be celebrating its 150th Anniversary!
- 10:00 Parade of Oshkosh and surrounding areas fire rigs - both current and historical
(from Main St. and Merritt Ave. to Station #15). - 10:30 - 3:00 Open House with Pig Roast held at Station #15 / 101 Court St.
- 11:00-2:00 Tours of the Historical Brooklyn Fire House (17 W. 6th Ave-2 blocks from Station #15).

All proceeds from the Pig Roast will be going to the Local Red Cross fund for fire victims and FF rehab.
