BOARD OF HEALTH

In 1995, the Common Council appointed members to a newly formed Board of Health.   The Board, which has five members and two alternates, receives staff support from the Health Division.  The Board meets bi-monthly and is responsible for assuring enforcement of state public health statutes and acts in an advisory capacity, making recommendations to the Common Council regarding local health-related issues.

MEETINGS: 
Bi-monthly 7:30 AM on the last Wednesday of the month except in December or as published in the minutes

NUMBER OF MEMBERS: 
Four (4) members, Two (2) alternates, One (1) Council Member

TERMS: 
Three years for member and alternates, one year for Council Representative

STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: 
Health Director

MISSION

The Health Services Division is the official health agency of the City of Oshkosh and is responsible for prevention of disease, promotion of wellness, and provision of a healthful and safe environment. The Health Division provides services to the community in these main program areas:
