Council Member King was elected to the City Council in April, 2007. Jessica is a native of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She received her high school diploma in 1993 from St. Mary Springs, Fond du Lac. Jessica received her undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh (UWO) in 1998, with majors in International Studies, History and Political Science. She received her law degree in 2001, along with a Certificate in Global Legal Studies from Thomas Jefferson School of Law (TJSL) in San Diego, CA.

Jessica is the sole shareholder of Compass Law, S.C., specializing in consumer bankruptcy and debt settlements. Jessica currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lakeside Packaging Inc., the Grand Opera House Foundation, Inc., the Young Lawyers Division (YLD)of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Legal Action Wisconsin, Inc., and is a Wisconsin State Bar delegate to the American Bar Association.

Jessica serves on the Transit Advisory Board.

Jessica resides at 1523 Hazel St. in Oshkosh.
