Mr. McHugh was elected to the Common Council in April, 2006
He previously was elected to five terms to the Oshkosh Area Board of Education.
His employment included 27 years as supervisor of the City of Oshkosh Electric and Traffic Division.
Retiring that position in 2001, Mr. McHugh is currently an electrical contractor.
He studied at UW-O, Northwestern university and Fox Valley Technical College.
Mr. McHugh is a lifelong resident of Oshkosh and has 13 siblings.
He and his wife Sandra have resided at 1220 Greenfield Trail for 36 years. They have four children. Dennis' hobbies include hunting, fishing, growing flowers, woodworking and visiting his cabin in Adams County.
Mr. McHugh serves on the Parking Utility Commission and the Parks Advisory Board
