North Main District
The North Main District represents the
historic commercial and retail center of the City. The majority of the
structures were built between 1874 and 1876 following the 1874 and 1875 fires
which destroyed the earlier wooden commercial buildings. The District
contains a high concentration of architect designed Italianate and Queen Anne
style masonry buildings and is also notable for a large number of buildings
designed by noted Oshkosh architect William Waters.
The yellow buildings depict
non-contributing properties. Click on the building for more detail.
