Bob is a life-long resident of Oshkosh. He graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1994, and from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Religion.

Bob is engaged to Jenna Larson, with whom he has two, beautifully vibrant boys.

Bob is employed as a Client Advocate with the Arc-Winnebago County Disability Association, an organization that uses advocacy and self-determination as tools to benefit people with developmental and related disabilities. He is the President of the Winnebago County Literacy Council Board of Directors, and is a member of the Energy and Environment Advisory Committee for the City of Oshkosh.

Bob has been honored for his work in the Oshkosh community. In November, 2004, he received the "Peacemaker of the Year Award" from the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice, a coalition consisting of over 150 groups that strive for peace, economic justice, and environmental justice. On Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 2005, he became the tenth recipient of the "Oshkosh Diversity Award", issued by the Oshkosh Human Relations Council.
