Council Member Lynnsey Erickson was elected to the Oshkosh Common Council in April 2020. She has previously served on the Transit Advisory Board and Plan Commission. Lynnsey has worked as a Community Health Strategist at the Winnebago County Health Department since 2016 after serving as an AmeriCorps member with the Wisconsin HealthCorps program from 2014-2016 at the health department. In her role, she focuses on making the community better so that people can be healthier. She has also volunteered with the Oshkosh Food Co-op and the League of Women Voters of Winnebago County and mentored at the Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh.

Lynnsey grew up in New London, WI and earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2014. She is currently working towards her Masters degree in Public Administration from UWO. Lynnsey enjoys living in downtown Oshkosh and being able to walk and bike to work and other community spaces. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks throughout Oshkosh's historic neighborhoods and hiking in local, state, and national parks.

Lynnsey believes in city council's responsibility to listen to residents and recognize that the variety of perspectives and experiences matter when council makes decisions that impact people’s lives. She loves this city and wants to make sure that people feel welcomed here and that Oshkosh is a great place for everyone to call home.
