Joe Stephenson is a community advocate whose family has deep roots in Oshkosh. He graduated from UW Oshkosh with a Bachelor's of Science in Urban and Regional Planning and a Masters in Public Administration. Joe has worked in a number of communities as a planning professional for the past decade; most recently his current role with the City of Kaukauna as their Community Development Director. As a planner, Joe has honed his skills in housing, walkability, and redevelopment, being a speaker on such topics at various conferences and events.
As an active community member of the City of Oshkosh, he has served on the Parks Board, Oshkosh Museum Board, Long Range Finance Committee, and the Oshkosh Food Co-op Board, to name a few. He was a cofounder of the Midtown Neighborhood Association and maintains an active role as their Neighborhood Chairperson today.
Joe is also a new parent. He and his wife welcomed their first child into the world five months ago.
