Rock the Block Oshkosh Announces
Menominee South Neighborhood Association has been chosen for the 2023 Rock the Block Oshkosh neighborhood revitalization program.
Rock the Block is a Habitat for Humanity International brand that is focused on bringing people together to revitalize neighborhoods. The purpose is to get neighbors and the greater community working together to improve their city.

Rock the Block is presented by these collaborative partners: Habitat for Humanity Oshkosh, Greater Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods, Inc. (GO-HNI), and the City of Oshkosh. This exciting neighborhood revitalization initiative called “Rock the Block Oshkosh” utilizes neighborhood association members, city loans and local grant funding for exterior home improvement. The purpose is to get neighbors and the greater community working together to improve their city.

Rock the Block Application
Eligible homeowners wishing to participate in this event will need to complete an application. Habitat Oshkosh will do beautification projects such as: mulching, raking, edging, tree and bush trimming; weatherization projects including caulking and storm doors; and home preservation repairs like porch repairs and painting. Questions on applications may be directed to Habitat for Humanity of Oshkosh, 920-235-3535.

Many projects are free to the homeowner. Additional projects may be discussed on a case by case basis, and financing may be available to homeowners through City of Oshkosh micro-grant or zero interest deferred loan programs. Rock the Block Oshkosh is presented by Habitat for Humanity of Oshkosh, Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods (GO-HNI), and the City of Oshkosh through a generous grant from US Venture Basic Needs Giving Program.
Rock the Block Oshkosh is coming soon to the Menominee South Neighborhood Association. Residents may submit an application September 1st to October 15, 2022 to be considered for 2023 projects.
The program is designed to address the exterior areas of properties including yard maintenance, lighting improvements and repair of broken porches, railings, windows and other projects. By completing neighborhood revitalization projects such as Rock the Block, we can help promote a vibrant, well-maintained neighborhood which leads to healthy families and increased property values.
