Advisory Group Meeting Notes - 10-16-18

City staff provided background from the previous meeting on August 21st 2018. Staff explained that at the last meeting the group reviewed the proposed sub-district boundaries and the land use table. Staff directed group members to the updated website for additional information, . Staff explained that as part of the public input process they will be conducting stakeholder interviews to gather more information for the plan. Staff also plans to distribute a notification letter to all property owners in the district explaining the planning process. Staff revealed the official Sawdust District logo, created for branding and marketing purposes.

Staff presented a draft version of sub-district descriptions. The sub-districts are intended to serve different purposes and will be assigned different land uses. Advisory group members reviewed each description. Several group members shared their ideas regarding the Pioneer property and how to mitigate the impacts of the railroad.

The advisory group agreed to cancel the November meeting because it falls on the same week as Thanksgiving. The next meeting will be held on December 18th, 2018.
