Fitness Center

The Fox Fitness Center, located in the North Building, offers a wide variety of exercise equipment for our participants. If you are age 50 or older, we invite you to utilize the Fox Fitness Center. Individuals wanting to use the equipment are required to fill out a waiver before joining. An equipment orientation is available free of charge for new participants. The Fox Fitness Center is open Monday through Friday from 6:45 am-4:00 pm. For more information or a personal tour, please call the North Building at 232-5311.

Exercise Classes

The Center also offers a variety of Exercise Classes, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours at both the North and South buildings. Descriptions and times are listed below:

  • Cardio Mix - Mondays & Wednesdays - 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
    This class is designed for the intermediate to more advanced exerciser. This class will get your heart pumping through a variety of aerobic exercises.

  • Totally Toning - Mondays & Wednesdays - 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
    The goal of this class is to firm your muscles! Participants will strengthen and tone their bodies while using a variety of different exercise equipment including free weights, resistance bands, and more.

  • Sweat N’ Sculpt Circuit - Tuesdays & Thursdays - 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
    Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance with this standing circuit workout. Class starts with a warm up period and continues alternating between aerobic and strengthening exercises.

  • Instructors Choice - Fridays - 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
    This class is designed to be the instructor’s choosing. The instructor will lead the class through a well-balanced class utilizing bands, hand weights, balls, and more!

  • Forever Fit – Mondays and Wednesdays- 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
    Instructors from the YMCA teach this class. This class includes seated and standing exercises by a chair to provide for a low impact cardiovascular workout. Light hand weights and resistance bands will be used.

  • Movement Exercise Class - Tuesdays and Thursdays- 11:00-11:45 a.m.
    Seated exercise class with some standing portions. This class is designed for people with movement disorders including Parkinsons, MS, or anyone with balance issues. Caregivers welcome to attend!

  • High Intermediate Line Dancing - Mondays- 12:30 p.m.

  • Intermediate Line Dancing - Tuesdays - 12:30 p.m.
    For those who know the basics of line dancing or have taken Beginner Line Dancing.

  • Silver Sneaker Classic - Mondays - 9:15 am to 10 am | Fridays, 9 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
    Increase muscle strength, range of movement and activities for daily living.

Session Based Exercise Classes:

  • T’ai Chi Stretching and Balance - Thursdays 12:00 p.m.
    This is more of a beginners class to T’ai Chi. Learn the principles of T’ai Chi applied to an ancient Chinese whole body.

  • Cheng Man Cheng T’ai Chi - Thursdays 1:00 p.m.
    In this class, you will learn the T’ai Chi form adapted by a Chinese doctor as a prescription for health.

  • Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan: 13 Postures- Mondays - 2:00 p.m.
    This is the Yang Family Hidden Tradition of T’ai Chi. This is characterized by spiraling movements and will help to build strength and balance.

  • Gentle Stretch Yoga - Mondays 11:30 a.m. and Fridays 10:00 a.m.
    For those participants who have limitations in movement to begin to experience the benefits of yoga using a chair for support.

  • Slow Flow Yoga - Mondays 12:45 p.m.
    Ideal for active seniors who want to increase their strength, balance, and flexibility.

  • Slow Flow Yoga with Meditation - Fridays 11:15 a.m.
    Same as Slow Flow Yoga but with the added benefit of meditation.

  • Pilates Core Strengthening - Fridays 8:30 a.m.
    This class helps to build all of the abdominal muscles, not just the external ones.
