RE: Approve Rescission of Resolution 21-89 of Award Bid to Core and Main and
ETNA Supply for 2021 Water Materials and Brass Goods for Water Utility
Division ($65,079 estimated)
BACKGROUND
At their February 23, 2021 meeting the Common Council approved resolution 21-89 to award
the 2021 Water Materials and Brass Goods to Core and Main and ETNA Supply.
ANALYSIS
After the bid award it was determined that ETNA Supply’s bid for the Main Parts section
failed to provide a bid for the 6” water main parts as required in the bid specifications. As
such, ETNA Supply’s bid for the Main Parts section is incomplete and cannot be accepted.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact with this rescission. Staff will be submitting a new bid award
recommendation for all the 2021 Water Materials and Brass Goods which will include Core
and Main’s bid for the Main Parts section.
RECOMMENDATION
Purchasing recommends the Common Council rescind resolution 21-89.
Respectfully Submitted, Approved:
